Christ is First

We are Second

of Kalamazoo

Second Reformed Church

… …

We worship God every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and services last roughly an hour.

What's it like?

Many would place SRC on the traditional end of the spectrum.  We sing hymns, have an order of worship, and we will sometimes read things together (in unison).  We primarily use an organ as accompaniment and we have a strong and sizable choir.  However, we will often sing more contemporary songs, or incorporate visual tools (skits, etc.), as well as different musical talents.

What shall I wear?

Depending on the time of year, some men are wearing sports coats, others polo shirts.  Women are wearing dresses, skirts, and slacks.

What is the predominant age range?

We are all ages with an active and vibrant older population and a growing younger population.

What should my kids expect?

Anyone with children wants to know what to expect.  Worship generally runs an hour.  All begin in worship, except the youngest for whom we provide a warm and welcoming nursery (complete with contact system).  Approximately a third of the way into worship, children receive a message from a church leader and then all through 3rd grade are excused for their own worship service time.
